2023 - Mazda3 AJAC Small Car of the Year
The 2023 Mazda3 is designed with Skyactiv that naturally responds to every input, rewarding your desire to go further, safer, and in style. AJAC journalists have loved the premium experience and first-class driving dynamics of the Mazda3 in past years, previously awarding the category and overall Canadian Car of the Year titles in 2020 and 2021, the first back-to-back Car of the Year wins for any car in AJAC's history. Other finalists in the Small Car category this year were the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Mazda also had finalists in the Small Utility Vehicle category (CX-30) and Sports Performance Car category (MX-5).

MAZDA3 REPEATS CATEGORY WIN IN 2021 AJAC CANADIAN CAR OF THE YEAR AWARDS
The fourth generation Mazda3 was redesigned for 2019 and introduced a new level of refinement and craftsmanship within the compact car segment, quickly winning over fans and media. The Mazda3 won AJAC's overall Canadian Car of the Year award in 2020, the first year it was eligible. The 2021 Mazda3 is available as a sedan or hatchback (Mazda3 Sport) and is available with the choice of 2.0L or 2.5L Skyactiv-G naturally aspirated engines, or a 2.5 Turbo engine and 6-speed Skyactiv manual (on select models) or automatic transmissions.
MAZDA CX-30 EARNS HIGHEST IIHS "TOP SAFETY PICK+" AWARD
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) today announced that the 2021 Mazda CX-30 has been added to the list of Mazda vehicles that earn its highest award, the 2020 TOP SAFETY PICK+. When equipped with optional front crash prevention, the 2021 CX-30 (built after September 2020) joins the 2021 Mazda3 and Mazda3 Sport, Mazda6, and CX-5 as 2020 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award recipients. The 2021 CX-9 receives the 2020 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award with standard equipment. Mazda leads the industry with more TOP SAFETY PICK + awards than any other auto brand.
